Asset Base Surveys
Services
Gaist’s condition surveys are changing the way local highways authorities are looking at their roads. Our surveys are designed to provide the information required to develop detailed maintenance plans and investment strategies.
Historically, many mainstream highways surveys have lacked credibility with Local Authorities owing to unreliable or hard to interpret outputs with the result that they have often had limited use beyond the production of national performance measures. We wish to change that by focusing on requirements for engineering decision making, throwing out the unnecessary complexity and ensuring that results can be interpreted by all stakeholders (including Councillors and members of the public).
Our team of surveyors support our customers with large and small scale data collection projects and undertake intense training to align the output with the local authorities needs.

Video Surveys
In addition to walked surveys our video asset surveys not only provide a snapshot of your assets for future reference but also allow the collection of asset information at a later date. Our video survey system records forward, backward, footpath and carriageway facing images every 0.5m to provide an unprecedented level of detail.
The high definition imagery allows inspection of the surface of the carriageway and footway as well as other assets. With the ability to record safety defects and changes in the condition of the carriageway, all linked back to photographic, timestamped evidence, the video survey system has many practical uses.
The system is accessed online through a standard desktop or phone browser with no special requirements allowing universal access.
