Gaist are seeking a self motivated individual who is passionate about protecting communities against natural threats and hazards
We are looking forward an enthusiastic and driven person to join the great team at Gaist. You will help a growing team assess infrastructure assets for a range of risk factors relating primarily (but not exclusively) to physical assets. This will include areas such as strategic and local road networks.

Experience/skills required
You will need to have excellent customer service and liaison skills to work with both internal and external partners from a range of sectors. On occasions this may include members of the public.
You will have a background in asset management and/or natural hazard management with good planning and organisational skills. Attention to detail and an ability to think laterally will be critical as well as a meticulous, conscientious and logical attitude to your work.
You will have an interest around data, not necessarily technical, that can be used or sourced to help partners and customers in either a resilience setting or with asset management.
You will need aworking knowledge of a range of IT packages, including Microsoft Office and GIS/mapping systems and an understanding of how technology could help customers.
Your communication and interpersonal skills will be complimented by your enthusiasm, imagination and ambition to achieve defined targets and sometimes tight deadlines.
